Celebrities I have Met

The new KetchupWith Us from Mel and Michele is one I can really identify with. Before my son was born I worked as a Supervisor of Security at Pearson International Airport (in Toronto). It was a very interesting job, never the same from one day to the other, but one of the great parts  was when celebrities would come through. Sometimes with an airline rep. but a lot of times on their own. It seemed that often the biggest name celebs were the ones that came on their own and were the nicest. Okay, here is a list of the many famous people I met, spoke to and often helped: Christopher Plummer, Ali MacGraw, Al Pacino, Donny Osmond, Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, Oprah Winfrey, Diana Ross, Betty White, Mackenzie Phillips, Susanne Somers and Bette Middler to name a few. One of the nicest people I met, believe it or not was Mr. T. He was wearing all his jewellery and when we asked him if we could look at them he stopped and showed them to us, he even let me try on his diamond encrusted piano shaped ring which must of weighed at least 20 lbs. it was so heavy. Unfortunately, we couldn't take pictures because I was in uniform and it wasn't allowed at the time. So there you go, I do miss my job but when Ryan was diagnosed with Autism, my priorities changed, but I'm glad I was able to have such a unique job and meet some great people.
