Celebrating Easter With Autism

I will start by saying Happy Easter Everyone. In this picture you will see some of the things a typical 4 year old would get from the Easter Bunny. A 4 year old did receive these things... the only thing is this 4 year is actually my 18 year old son Ryan. He is on the Moderate to severe Autism Spectrum. As you can see he still believes in the Easter Bunny as well as Santa. I adore my boy and wouldn't trade him for anything in the world. So please the next time you see a teenage or adult person and if you are lucky enough to hear them speak, please don't stare at them as if they have come from another planet, a smile to their Mom or other family member will make all the difference in the world. Believe me, I know. :-D
